Anthony Chang and Chad Bassett are now part of Endeavor’s prestigious network of global entrepreneurs building companies that are innovating and transforming their industries.
BAMF Health has always had bold ambitions for what we can build and achieve. Now, a global community of prominent leaders is acknowledging our capacity to change the world.
Endeavor is a leading global nonprofit network that supports high-impact entrepreneurs in building and scaling their business. With a reputation similar to that of Silicon Valley startup incubator Y Combinator, Endeavor provides a platform to train, mentor, and invest in founders who go on to pay it forward to the next generation. Each year Endeavor screens around 2,000 companies globally, and 2% are invited to participate in an International Selection Panel (ISP). Of those who participate in an ISP, about 1% are selected and invited to join the network.
Anthony and Chad traveled to Montréal for Endeavor’s ISP, held September 15-17, where they were among 18 entrepreneurs selected from nine companies. The panel brought together accomplished business leaders, including General Atlantic Co-President Martín Escobari, Airbnb Head of Global Markets Chris Misner, and KOHO founder and CEO Daniel Eberhard. The rigorous selection process culminates in interviews and deliberations, with unanimous approval required for selection.
Fellow Endeavor Entrepreneur and Endeavor Southeast Board Chair, Julia Regan, said, “Anthony’s vision mirrors Jeff Bezos’ early approach to Amazon: identify a broken, high-friction system, redesign it end-to-end, and build durable operating infrastructure that others struggle to replicate. I can say with confidence that Anthony and BAMF Health represent exactly the type of founder and company Endeavor Global exists to back: category-defining, patient-impact driven, globally relevant, and capable of reshaping healthcare delivery at an infrastructure level for decades to come. It is difficult to imagine a more compelling candidate in healthcare than Anthony and BAMF Health—if not them, then who.”
As Endeavor entrepreneurs, our founder and CEO Anthony Chang, PhD, and co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Chad Bassett, join a network of founders, business leaders, and investors who help one another tackle difficult problems, grow their companies, and turn disruptive ideas into lasting impact.
“BAMF Health was selected because our panelists understood the magnitude of what Anthony and Chad are building: a single integrated platform with the power to save countless lives, accelerate drug commercialization for pharmaceutical partners, reduce costs for providers, and deliver better, faster outcomes for patients,” said Endeavor Midwest Managing Director Diana Callaghan. “Nothing like it exists in healthcare today. Their model is getting cutting-edge therapies to patients faster and transforming treatment for cancer and a growing number of other diseases. They are exactly the kind of founders Endeavor was built to support: brilliant, relentless, and giving everything they have to a problem the world cannot afford to get wrong.”
Other present and past Endeavor panelists include U2 guitarist The Edge, former CFO of Netflix David Wells, COO of META Javier Olivan, and the co-creator of Google Maps, Lars Rasmussen.
Recognition of what comes next
Since 2007, Endeavor has curated and supported more than 100 unicorn companies (private companies valued over $1B) through its network. Last year, Mercado Libre became the first $100B+ company in Endeavor’s portfolio, with half a dozen companies now valued at $10B+.
“Endeavor has a proven history of identifying unicorns, and this recognition puts BAMF Health in that same extraordinary category,” said Anthony. “BAMF’s unchanging vision is to make the most advanced, life-saving technology accessible and affordable to every patient who needs it, as soon as possible. It’s our great honor to join this prestigious community. We look forward to exchanging ideas with and mentoring other entrepreneurs who are on this same journey.”
As Endeavor Entrepreneurs, Anthony and Chad gain access to mentorship, investor connections, and a global peer network with firsthand experience growing ambitious companies. Those relationships can help BAMF navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead, from building new partnerships and securing investment to expanding access to care.
Built in Michigan, thinking globally
The recognition also puts a spotlight on the innovation happening in Michigan.
“People often look to the East and West Coasts for the next revolutionary companies. Why not Grand Rapids?” said Chad. “There are talented people doing extraordinary work here, and it’s exciting that the world is taking notice. Endeavor recognizes that companies with global potential can come from anywhere, and we’re proud to bring Michigan into those conversations.”
Today’s Endeavor community includes more than 2,900 entrepreneurs building transformational companies across 45+ markets. Endeavor selects entrepreneurs by searching the globe, identifying founders with the greatest growth potential, and inviting them to participate in the renowned international selection process. The organization believes high-impact entrepreneurs are those who dream bigger, scale faster, and multiply their impact.
Anthony emphasizes that this recognition belongs to the entire BAMF team, who relentlessly pursue excellence and deliver extraordinary results every single day.
