2025 was a defining year for BAMF Health. Across our clinics, radiopharmacy, research programs, and nationwide partnerships, we took ambitious steps toward a future where every person facing cancer or complex disease has access to faster answers, better treatments, and real hope. From national headlines to intimate moments inside our clinic walls, this year reaffirmed why we exist: to serve boldly, innovate relentlessly, and put patients first.
What follows is more than a list of milestones. It is a collection of stories about lives changed, teams that pushed boundaries, students inspired to lead, and communities that walked alongside us.
Pre-Chemotherapy Approval of Pluvicto®
The year began with a breakthrough that reshaped prostate cancer care. In March, the FDA approved Pluvicto® as a pre-chemotherapy option—quickly followed by updated NCCN Guidelines in April. For countless men, this meant avoiding the harsh, life-altering side effects of chemotherapy while still pursuing a powerful therapeutic option.
Two of our patients, Mark and Michael, were looking for an alternative to chemo. When the approval was announced, they came to BAMF Health immediately. Their stories—and the hope behind them—even made local news as Michael shared his experience.
Early results among pre-chemo patients have been deeply encouraging: faster PSA declines, clearer improvements on imaging, and better quality of life. While long-term data is still developing, the trajectory is promising.
“Moving Pluvicto earlier in treatment is a big step forward,” said Dr. Brandon Mancini, BAMF Health Medical Director. “But we’re still learning how to best integrate it, what the right order of therapies is, when to combine it, and how to personalize care so every patient gets the maximum benefit.”
The Foundation for Medical Advancement and Breakthroughs (FMAB) Builds Support
The Foundation for Medical Advancement and Breakthroughs (FMAB) continued its momentum following its late-2024 launch. Support grew rapidly:
- February: PET imaging pioneer Dr. Abass Alavi contributed a transformational $100,000 gift to advance research.
- June: FMAB partnered with The Mitten State apparel company, turning BAMF Health swag into a vehicle for philanthropy.
- August: Nonprofit leader and cancer survivor Afton DeVos joined as Consulting Director, bringing deep empathy and mission-driven leadership shaped by personal experience.
- November: FMAB hosted its first fundraising event at BAMF Health—an intimate, inspiring gathering that honored loved ones and fueled a shared commitment to advancing care.
The Launch of BAMF RadioNexus and Continued Firsts for Clinical Trials
In June, we launched BAMF RadioNexus, the world’s first national radiopharmaceutical clinical trials network. Built to accelerate clinical development and expand access to cutting-edge radioligand research, RadioNexus brings BAMF’s operational excellence, scientific expertise, and speed to partner sites nationwide. By September, we announced that East River Medical Imaging would be our first RadioNexus site in the New York City area.
Alongside this national expansion, BAMF Health continued to dose the first patients globally in several 2025 trials, further cementing our reputation as a premier, fast-moving clinical trials leader.
In April, we opened an innovative breast cancer imaging clinical trial for women with HR-/HER2+ metastatic breast cancer. One patients, Barbara, shared her inspiring story of courage and her desire to give back to others by participating. We also discussed PET/CT imaging for breast cancer and the need to research even more options for imaging and treatment with WZZM 13 News.
BAMF Radiopharmacy Expands Commercial Manufacturing
2025 saw extraordinary growth across the BAMF Radiopharmacy. The team expanded manufacturing capacity, supported increased imaging and therapy volume, and began producing FDG alongside novel commercial and investigational radiopharmaceuticals.
Looking ahead to 2026, BAMF Health will continue scaling commercial manufacturing, expanding access, accelerating development, and serving a rapidly growing patient population.
“I’m in awe of our team’s relentless service, said BAMF Health VP of Radiopharmacy Matt DeLong, PharmD. “Working together, we’re scaling fast to serve more communities. It’s challenging, but our foundation keeps us steady. Stay tuned, we’re just getting started.”
Anthony Chang Electrifies Audiences and Makes Headlines
In February, Anthony Chang delivered an emotional and powerful keynote to more than 700 attendees at the Economic Club of Grand Rapids, sharing the obstacles, breakthroughs, and relentless passion that brought BAMF Health to life. His message inspired audiences to push harder, think bolder, and reimagine what’s possible.

In 2025, Anthony was named:
- One of the Top Healthcare Newsmakers of the Year
- One of the 200 Most Influential Leaders in West Michigan
He also keynoted major events, including Global Citizen NOW, Detroit Reindustrialize, the University of Chicago, and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.
BAMF Hosts 108 Walk for Prostate Cancer Awareness
Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September brought the inaugural BAMF 108 Walk, a movement inspired by FutureSolve student interns and rooted in a powerful statistic: 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
We held three community walks in September to raise awareness for prostate cancer diagnosis, imaging, and treatment options, and BAMFers strived to walk 108 miles throughout the month.

Dr. Brandon Mancini expanded awareness statewide through appearances on local news programs like FOX 17’s Morning Mix and WOOD-TV’s eightWest and through interviews with prostate cancer experts in Grand Rapids and at leading national institutions.

FutureSolve 2025 Students Showcase Solutions to BAMF Problems
Speaking of FutureSolve 2025, our second year welcomed 27 high-achieving high school students from across West Michigan.

Over six weeks, students learned from BAMF experts, tackled real business and operational challenges, and developed innovative solutions.
Working in teams, they addressed marketing, IT, HR, and strategy projects—earning three college credits through Ferris State University. The energy, creativity, and ambition from these students reinforce the importance of cultivating the next generation of innovators in medicine and technology.
BAMFers Showed Up
Across 2025, BAMFers stepped into classrooms, community centers, conferences, and volunteer spaces across West Michigan and beyond. Their talks, service, and mentorship showcased BAMF Health’s culture of compassion, education, and purpose. When the community calls, our team shows up.

In Memoriam – Doug and Steve
This year, we reflect with deep gratitude on the lives of two extraordinary patients: Doug Riippa and Steve Fabiano—among the very first patients treated at BAMF Health.
Doug participated in two clinical trials at BAMF and was beloved for his clever T-shirts, humor, and spirit. His impact on our team and the field of Theranostics is immeasurable.

Steve was one of our earliest Pluvicto® patients. When he arrived, he had weeks to live, but went on to spend three more Christmases with his family. Through his contribution to our GE HealthCare video series, he helped countless others learn the power of Theranostics.

We are profoundly grateful for the privilege of caring for Doug and Steve. Their stories continue to guide and inspire us.
