Ella's Story

Most Advanced PET/CT Scans

At BAMF Health, you have access to the most advanced PET scanner ever built. It not only finds cancer that traditional scanners miss, but also scans in less than 5 minutes.

This targeted imaging uses a radioactive tracer to identify a unique protein on neuroendocrine tumor cells called a somatostatin receptor. Once the tracer binds to the receptors, it lights up, revealing the exact location of the cancer down to the millimeter.

Ask your doctor to order your PET scan at BAMF Health and you’ll:

  • Get in faster
  • Get scanned quicker
  • Get results sooner

Targeted Radiopharmaceutical Therapy

BAMF Health offers the PSMA-targeted radiopharmaceutical therapy called Lutathera (lutetium lu 177 dotatate). This revolutionary treatment delivers radiation directly to cancer cells while sparing healthy tissues. Most of our patients experience little to no side effects and can continue doing the things they love throughout their treatment journey.

Our facility was specifically designed to deliver these types of treatments. Each space you encounter is curated for administering radiopharmaceuticals efficiently, safely, and comfortably. It’s what we do best, and it shows.

Personalized Treatment with SPECT/CT

We follow a unique, beneficial treatment protocol using the GE StarGuide SPECT/CT scanner. Within 24 hours of every treatment cycle, patients return to BAMF Health for a SPECT/CT scan. This scan shows us exactly where the treatment is in your body and how hard it’s working. That same day, we review and compare your scan results to assess the changes throughout your treatment course. It’s true precision medicine in action.

The SPECT/CT Difference

  • "It's remarkable! You could see where the cancer was after my first treatment. The cancer spots lit up. I can't wait for my next scan."
    Ella
  • "You see the magic on the screen the next day, and that's when you know things are really happening. It's like being on the Starship Enterprise!"
    Michael
  • "It's real-time monitoring of what's going on with the cancer. It's great to look at the scans side-by-side and compare to previous scans."
    Mark
